The app is provided as-is
Scholar is provided free of charge, as-is, without warranty of any kind. While we build it carefully and test changes, we can't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted. Because your data is stored locally on your device rather than backed up on our servers, you're responsible for your own device's backups if you want a copy preserved.
Not an official attendance record
Scholar is a personal tracking tool. The attendance percentages and records it shows you are calculated from what you enter — they are not an official or authoritative record from your college or university, and should not be relied on as a substitute for checking with your institution directly on matters that affect your academic standing.
Your responsibility for what you enter
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you put into Scholar. We have no way to verify attendance, deadlines, or other data you enter, since it stays on your device.
Third-party services
Optional features rely on third-party services — currently Google's Gemini API for the AI assistant and paper-generation tools, accessed using an API key you provide. Your use of these third-party services is governed by their own terms, and we're not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or output.
Acceptable use
Don't use Scholar or this website to violate any law, attempt to disrupt the service, or misrepresent your affiliation with us. Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app without permission.
Advertising
This website may display third-party advertising, including through Google AdSense, as described in our Privacy Policy. We aren't responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.
Changes to the app or these terms
We may update Scholar's features or these terms over time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scholar and its creators aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or website, including any impact on your academic standing resulting from reliance on data you entered yourself.
